Some
Basic Make-Up Tips by Jim Brown
Whether you have just started learning the skills in applying make-up or is already an
expert when it comes to enhancing your beautiful looks, you could always use some basic
tips when using make-up. You would have to agree with me that for most women all over the
world, make-up is one of those things that they truly cannot live without. Others wouldn't
even have the guts to leave the house without applying any make-up for that matter and
would make the extra effort to apply any cosmetic whether it's just a simple dab of red
lipstick or the application of eyeliner or mascara. When applying make-up it is important
that it enhances our looks and not make us look unattractive instead.
When choosing a foundation, choose a shade that is very near your complexion to make it
easily blend with your natural skin tone. Avoid foundations that are too heavy and would
make your face look "cake" or chalky. A useful tip to covering eyebags or dark
circles under you eyes would be to first dot it with a concealer. Use your finger to
lightly tap and blend the concealer before setting the area with a layer of powder to
prevent from fading.
In applying eye shadow the color would all depend on how you want to project your eyes.
For those with small eyes and would want them to look larger, using light shades would do
the trick. If you want to do the exact opposite, darker shades could help narrow down its
shape. To create a beautiful effect, proper blending of eye shadow colors is highly
important. It is a standard to cover the entire lid with a light eye shadow, followed by
the application of the middle color shade near the crease of the upper eye lid. You can
apply the dark color shade near the eyelash line to serve as a liner. Blending is
important so as to make the colors seem as one instead of three separate hues.
Every girl would want to look as if she has rosy cheeks most of the time. Your choice of
blush is very important and how you apply them is essential as well in order to avoid
looking like a clown from the circus. Sticking to light and natural blush shades like a
bronze peach blush applied on the apple of your cheeks would not only give a very natural
but flirty look as well. A trick that I use to locate the apple of my cheek would be to
smile while applying your blush.
These are just some ideas that you could use. Continue on experimenting with different
style and looks until you find the right one that accentuates best your beauty.
